About the Role / Position Summary

The AVP of Marketing and Communications is accountable for the firm's brand development through developing and leading an effective marketing plan. Responsibilities include managing FEG's in-house marketing team, handling correspondence with FEG's external agency partner, and leading the implementation of marketing strategies and initiatives, such as segment campaigns, digital marketing, collateral development, PR, presentation coaching, FEG events, and other marketing and communications efforts.

What You'll Do / Position Responsibilities

Team Management

Communicate regularly and cascade leadership information, especially when relevant and impactful to the team.

Drive department initiatives through self-goals and employees' goals.

Support and provide guidance to each employee in their key day-to-day activities.

Develop and train each employee who reports to you and ensure they clearly understand what is expected of them.

Identify and be proactive on any employee relations issues by partnering with HR on any challenges you face. Develop Marketing Plan

Work closely with FEG's Head of Client Development and external agency partner to develop FEG's annual marketing plan that focuses on the acquisition of new clients, enhancement of FEG's brand, and improved client retention.

Incorporate campaigns specific to key client segments, including Community Foundations, Higher education institutions and Independent Schools, Healthcare organizations, and Private and Charitable organizations.

Integrate competitor intelligence and dynamic positioning related to how FEG fits within the marketplace. Implement Marketing Strategy and Initiatives

Proactively lead execution of marketing strategies and initiatives, including segment campaigns, digital marketing, collateral development, PR, presentation coaching, FEG events, and other marketing and communications efforts.

Understand and align decisions to organizational goals, market dynamics, and financial considerations

Collaborate with Sales and Pipeline team leaders to holistically achieve departmental goals.

Track, analyze, and report on marketing plan performance to measure effectiveness and inform data-driven strategy and adjustments. You'll Enjoy This Job If You... / Skills & Characteristics

Bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, and/or business administration.

5-10+ years of work experience in marketing and communications for an asset management organization.

Ability to identify and resolve/escalate complex problems with minimal guidance.

Experienced in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint with strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills and high work ethic.
