POSITION: Site Operations Manager

FULL-TIME/PART-TIME: Full Time

LOCATION: Columbus, OHIO

GENERAL SUMMARY

This person will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily warehouse processes and the personnel responsible for receiving and storage (including returns), picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation within our Columbus, OH location. The ideal candidate will have experience optimizing the warehouse layout and processes to create an efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality warehousing and logistics operation. This includes implementing continuous improvement projects, delivering on KPIs, and leading a high performing team. They will also work closely with stakeholders to create a seamless supply chain, end to end, with internal and external customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or 3PL operations., preferably medical device, aerospace or highly regulated industry including FDA, CFR and ISO compliance

Proven experience leading and managing cross-functional teams with a focus on operational excellence

Proficiency in WMS, TMS, and ERP systems

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Strong understanding of safety regulations, inventory control, and logistics cost management.

Excellent written/oral communication skills required.

Must be able to work and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Education

Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Warehouse Management or Logistics

Preferred Experience

Strong background in warehouse management, logistics, and supply chain operations

Experience leading teams, optimizing processes, and managing vendor relationships.

Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.

Effective at identifying issues, then proposing and implementing solutions

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.

Physical Demands

Requires normal visual acuity and hearing.

Typically, employees sit comfortably to do their work, interspersed by brief periods of standing, walking, bending, carrying papers and books, and extensive periods requiring the use of computer terminals to accomplish work objectives.

Required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel and manipulate keys on a keyboard.

Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location, department or line of business.

Working Conditions

Predominantly operates in a warehouse environment.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Each Employee consistently demonstrates the following essential functions:

Optimizes efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space

Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials.

Collaborates with other departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives.

Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.

Utilizes a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other system to track and analyze processes and performance.

Implements strong safety policies and procedures.

Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements.

Establishes and administers the department’s budget.

Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.

Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains staff in the department.

Attends and participates in departmental meetings.

Ensures all department compliance guidelines are met.

Attends all meetings, in-services training, or continuing education as delegated by the supervisor.

Provides customer focused interactions.

Performs all duties necessary for the department as per department policies and procedures.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as delegated by the supervisor within the scope of practice and the responsibilities in the department.
