SAP ABAP Lead Developer

KēSTA I.T is actively seeking a SAP Lead ABAP Developer for an immediate contract engagement with our government client.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Lead ABAP Developer to support enterprise-wide SAP systems and provide integration with SuccessFactors and third-party platforms. This role includes managing an ABAP development team and working closely with internal resources to enhance and maintain SAP solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, leadership experience, and strong functional knowledge across multiple SAP modules, with an emphasis on public sector implementations.

Responsibilities:

· Lead a team of 10–15 ABAP developers, providing technical guidance, task prioritization, and mentoring.

· Design, develop, enhance, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP and ABAP Object-Oriented Programming.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes and translate requirements into SAP solutions.

· Support the integration of SAP systems with SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) and other third-party applications.

· Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective delivery of SAP enhancements and support initiatives.

· Deliver training and mentorship to public sector employees at various experience levels.

· Perform analysis and development activities to resolve system incidents and optimize performance

Required Skills:

· 8+ years of experience as an SAP Lead Developer, including management of a team of 10–15 resources.

· 8+ years of ABAP development experience, including strong proficiency in ABAP OO (Object-Oriented Programming).

· Functional knowledge in at least three of the following areas:

o Finance

o Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

o Logistics

o Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)

o SUS/ROS

o Master Data Management (MDM)

o Human Capital Management (HCM)

o SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC)

· 4+ years of experience supporting SAP operations in a public sector environment.

· 2+ years of experience training and mentoring public sector employees.
