Pay Range: $22 To $25 per hour
We are currently seeking Customer Service Representative(s) to join our GFS Chemicals team at our Powell, Ohio office. This position is on-site.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required; bachelors degree preferred;
Minimum, one year of customer service experience in a business-to-business environment - preferably in the manufacturing sector;
Offer excellent customer service through verbal and written communication skills from an office environment, preferably within the manufacturing sector;
Effective communication skills (listening, directing, conveying);
Excellent people skills;
Good math skills, including unit conversion factors and basic algebra;
Remain flexible in an environment with ever changing demands;
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite;
Excellent organization skills, detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task;
Ability to maintain accurate records and secure confidential information; and
Proficient with English language (ability to read, write, and speak
Essential Responsibilities:
You will be trained to use Microsoft Dynamics AX, SharePoint, and our call center software. Each day presents unique challenges as we strive to stay current on industry-wide best practices. The successful candidate(s) will also participate in the development of new processes and support projects as our department grows while working closely with our customers and internal partners.
Daily activities:
Input quotes, orders, and returns into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
Follows up on shipment status, back orders, and customer complaints, etc. as needed
Qualifies new, and re-qualifies former, customers by sending/processing Business Account Forms and creating new customer accounts
Updates and maintains customer database within ERP system
Assists customers with products and order inquiries
Sends requested forms to customers (i.e. Certificate of Analysis, Safety Data Sheets, etc.)
Routes leads/prospects appropriately
Assists sales department with customer driven administrative support including order entry and follow up for their territories
Maintains confidentiality with customer information
Educates customers about GFS Chemicals’ product offerings
Proactively calls customers to let them know of product promotions, company news, revisit past conversations and initiate new conversation of GFS’ value
Provides support to management as needed
Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Participates in problem solving and continuous improvement projects
Follow written policies, procedures, and guidelines
