Job Description
This position is for a CNC Machinist in a dynamic job shop setting, responsible for the production of custom parts across various industries including agriculture, transportation, and shipping. The role involves working with vertical mills and requires proficiency in setups and running production.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines, specifically vertical mills, performing 2-3 setups per day.
Read and interpret blueprints to gather necessary materials and produce parts.
Conduct first article inspections using quality tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Adjust machine feeds and speeds as necessary to maintain precision.
Hold a tolerance of +/- .001 inches.
Perform minor preventative maintenance on machinery.Essential Skills
Experience in CNC machining, especially with mills.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting prints.
Ability to hold a tolerance of +/- .001 inches.
Use of inspection tools for quality checks.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous job shop experience.

Work Environment
The shop consists of a team of 40 people, specializing in custom parts for the agricultural, transportation, and shipping industries. The position operates on a flexible second shift from noon to 8 PM, with initial training during the day. The dress code includes jeans, t-shirts, and steel-toed shoes.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
