We are seeking an experienced and strategic FP& A Lead to drive financial visibility, support decision-making, and help scale the company’s growth.
Position Summary
The FP& A Lead is responsible for leading the company’s financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis activities. This role will partner with senior leadership across departments to provide actionable insights, support strategic initiatives, and ensure financial alignment with corporate goals.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Forecasting
Lead the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
Design and maintain dynamic financial models to assess operational performance, capital expenditures, and strategic scenarios.
Coordinate with functional leaders to gather inputs and ensure financial alignment across business units.
Reporting & Analysis
Produce timely and accurate monthly management reports, variance analysis, and KPIs.
Analyze operational and financial performance across energy assets, projects, and regions.
Present financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership and the board.
Strategic Finance
Support corporate strategy through financial modeling of new investments, M& A, and capital projects.
Analyze return on investment (ROI) and IRR for new energy projects or infrastructure expansions.
Identify cost-saving opportunities, margin enhancement strategies, and operational efficiencies.
Tools & Processes
Enhance FP& A processes through automation and best practices.
Develop dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Adaptive Insights).
Maintain and improve ERP and planning systems integration (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
5+ years of experience in FP& A, preferably in the energy, utilities, infrastructure, or capital-intensive industry.
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; advanced Excel required.
Proficiency in financial planning tools and business intelligence platforms.
Experience with project-based financial analysis (e.g., power plants, pipelines, solar/wind farms).
Strong business acumen, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights for executive audiences.
