Georgian Court University has an opening for Adjunct Faculty in History for the Fall 2025 semester (beginning September 1), in Bayville, NJ. Teach 1-2 sections of World History Survey I. Appreciation for students enrolled in dual high school/university courses is essential.

HST-120 Survey of World History 1 (1-2 sections)

This a part-time, non-tenure track position which is appointed on a per semester basis.

Essential Functions:

Teach 3 or more credits per semester of history courses.

Provide reasonable office hours for students.

Follow course syllabi provided.

Complete formal course assessment report at the end of the semester.

Integrate the core values of respect, compassion, integrity, justice and service in all aspects of interaction.

Qualifications:

Advanced degree in History, Ph.D. preferred.

Evidence of teaching excellence in college-level history courses.

Strong course evaluations and/or strong recommendations from supervisors.

Must complete end of the semester course assessments for courses taught.

Willingness to follow the department's syllabi.

Experience with course management systems, such as Blackboard.

Willingness to complete Blackboard Ultra training program (online or on Lakewood campus) before classes begin
