Crane Operator

Job Description

Salary:

PRIMARY FUNCTION: crane operation for lattice boom and hydraulic cranes up to 200 ton.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

Responsible for operation of cranes used in heavy lifting.

Responsible for slings, cables, straps, and the crane prior to lifting operations.

Responsible for compliance with policy, safety guidelines and procedures that pertain to the crane operator's job (Company and OSHA standards)

Remains in continual voice (radio), hand and or communication with rigger(s) while operating the crane

Assures that all lifts are within load limits of equipment and correctly rigged

Follows correct lock-out and tag procedures

Shows commitment to safety culture

Participates in jobsite meetings and safety meetings

Performs other tasks asassigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

NCCCO Certification required

5+ years of experience in heavy constructionpreferred

Ability to assume responsibility and communicate with others
