Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to support the finance department by managing general ledger entries, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The ideal candidate will be proficient with ADP and JobBOSS software systems and bring a proactive approach to financial accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules
Assist with payroll processing and reporting using ADP
Monitor and record transactions related to job costing and Job Orders through JobBOSS
Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed
Compile and analyze financial information for management reporting
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards (GAAP)
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audit documentation
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and production to ensure accurate job costing and inventory tracking
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency with ADP (payroll and reporting) and JobBOSS (or similar ERP/job costing systems)
Strong Excel and data analysis skills
Knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting practices
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with manufacturing accounting or job costing
Familiarity with inventory and fixed asset accounting
CPA or working toward certification is a plus
