Job Title: High School Physical Science Teacher
Location: Harding Fine Arts Academy – High School Campus
Reports To: Principal
Employment Type: Full-Time, 10-Month Contract

Job Summary:
Harding Fine Arts Academy, a college preparatory public charter school with an arts-integrated focus, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Science Teacher for high school students. The ideal candidate will bring content expertise, strong classroom management skills, and a collaborative mindset to inspire students in the study of physical science, including basic principles of physics and chemistry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and standards-aligned physical science lessons to students in grades 9–12.
Design and implement a variety of instructional strategies that support different learning styles and abilities.
Integrate technology and hands-on activities, including labs and demonstrations, to support student understanding and inquiry.
Assess and evaluate student progress regularly using formative and summative assessments.
Maintain accurate and timely records of student grades and progress using PowerSchool.
Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student performance and classroom expectations.
Participate in professional development opportunities, faculty meetings, school events, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
Collaborate with colleagues across content areas to support Harding’s mission of blending academic and fine arts education.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Science, Chemistry, Physics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate with appropriate Science endorsement.
Secondary education teaching experience preferred, particularly in charter or arts-integrated environments.
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learners, including students with IEPs or 504 Plans.
Passion for education, commitment to student success, and alignment with the mission of Harding Fine Arts Academy.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with integrating the arts into science instruction.
Familiarity with College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS) for science.
Experience using PowerSchool and Google Classroom.
Willingness to participate in school performances, exhibitions, or interdisciplinary projects.
