Structural Designer

HTI is searching for aStructural Designerfor a leading engineering consulting firm specializing in industrial projects, providing detailed design and construction documentation for both new facilities and retrofits. The multidisciplinary team, consisting of mechanical, civil, structural, instrumentation, and electrical engineers, works closely with clients, vendors, and contractors to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that drive industrial growth and innovation.

What You Need:

3-5 yearsof experience as a structural designer/drafter in industrial or commercial projects

Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures– 3D modeling, steel detailing, general arrangement drawings

Solid understanding ofsteel framing systems,fabrication practices, and construction standards

Ability tointerpret structural drawingsand develop accurate 3D models and drawings

Familiarity withAISC and OSHAstandards and practices

Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and organizational habits

Ability tocollaborate with engineers, project managers, and other designers

Associate's degree in Drafting/Design or equivalent technical certification (preferred)

What Your Role Will Look Like

Create and manage 3D Tekla models for structural steel components and assemblies

Produce accurateshop drawings,connection details, andgeneral arrangement plans

Work closely with structural engineers to translate design intent into fabrication-ready models

Review and incorporate engineering redlines and client feedback

Conduct model checks for accuracy, conflicts, and constructability

Assist in material take-offs, quantity estimates, and construction planning support

Participate in internal coordination with multi-disciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.)
