Coordinate Measuring Machine Programmer

Summary: Seeking a Quality Engineer/CMM Programmer to lead advanced product quality planning and CMM programming efforts in a plastic injection molding environment.

Requirements:

5+ years experience

Strong CMM Programming, preferably with CMM Manager

Knowledge of quality methods (FMEA/SPC/PPAP/MSA/APQP)

Familiarity with ISO Quality Systems, IATF16949 or AS9100 desired

Understanding of GD&T

Willingness to train team members on CMM

Preferred Skills:

Plastics manufacturing background

Bachelor's degree preferred

Responsibilities:

Serve as SME for CMM, including defining layouts, setting up fixtures, writing programs, troubleshooting, and training

Manage all aspects of CMM hardware/software/programming

Ensure projects adhere to budget and schedule

Conduct analysis on metrology fixtures and lead source selection activities

Address customer inquiries regarding product quality and audits

Act as POC for all CMM procurement and service

Lead APQP, FMEA, PPAP initiatives

Coordinate early QA requirements with engineering

Establish control plans to prevent failures and exceed customer expectations

Ensure compliance with ISO standards and maintain documentation

Implement continuous improvement activities
