Job Duties Summary: The successful candidate will be a self-starting Life Cycle Support Specialist providing technical expertise in the area of system life cycle support, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) and data management as well as supporting the ILS Manager in executing customer life cycle support. Requires 5+ years of experience in Life Cycle Support, technical data entry and/or technical procurement.
Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties:
Actively investigate DMSMS of multiple products from different vendors and produce internal DMSMS Reports on a scheduled basis
Proactively reach out to multiple OEMs to determine Life Cycle dates and determine potential Last Time Buys
Produce system specific DMSMS reports for submission to Customers
Participate in Customer meetings as the Subject Matter Expert in DMSMS related matters
Perform failure analysis and predictions and make recommendations on Depot spares holdings required to meet system sustainability dates
Generate and present regular Failure Summary & Analysis Reports
Conduct GFE/CFE audits and present GFE/CFE Reports to the Customer
Assist in the generation of ILS related documentation and CDRLs in accordance with defined DIDs
Support Life Cycle Support Manager in ILS activities
Assist in activities relating to Technical Configuration Management including:
o Part number creation and definition
o Sub-Assemby BOM management and version control
o Related data entry into our client's ERP system (SAP and RATS)
Qualifications:
Degree in related field (or equivalent experience) and at least 5 years relevant experience
Meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy
In depth knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the Company’s success
Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Ability to work concurrently on multiple tasks and projects
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and communicate progress/problems to appropriate personnel effectively.
Hands on experience with SAP and MS Access databases is highly beneficial
Special Notations or Conditions of Employment:
Must be authorized to work in United States and obtain clearances to work on government sites.
