Position Summary
Hanwha Power Systems Americas is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager with 5–10 years of experience to play a vital role in the daily accounting operations. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating technical accounting expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the general ledger and accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
Month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal company policies.
Manage cost accounting processes including BOM analysis, standard costing, and inventory valuation.
Oversee financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities in collaboration with the finance team.
Implement and maintain effective internal controls and process improvements.
Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure alignment between finance and manufacturing functions.
Participate in ERP implementation, system enhancements, and data integrity initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Experience managing accounting teams and month-end close cycles.
Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred:
CPA or CMA certification.
Experience with SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite ERP systems.
Exposure to Korean business culture or bilingual in Korean and English (a plus, not required).
