Position Overview:

As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment while representing K&T Security with professionalism. This role requires excellent judgment, a calm demeanor under pressure, and the ability to manage situations independently.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide a consistent, armed security presence on-site.

Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, patrons, and staff.

Collaborate with local police and on-premises security as required.

Enforce site-specific policies and ensure compliance with all security protocols.

Monitor access points and patrol premises to ensure safety and prevent unauthorized activity.

Enforce property rules and respond appropriately to incidents or suspicious behavior.

De-escalate tense situations with professionalism and confidence.

Communicate effectively with team members and local law enforcement when needed.

Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities and incidents.

Qualifications (Required):

Current Maryland Wear and Carry Permit (WCP)

Valid Maryland Guard Card

Must have your own legally registered firearm and duty gear

Proven de-escalation experience and training

At least 5 years of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Professional, dependable, and able to work independently

Must be available for evening and weekend shifts

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior police or military background

Experience working high-traffic or high-profile venues

Familiarity with Baltimores public safety environment
