About the Role

VES is seeking a motivated, customer-oriented DevOps and Automated Testing Engineer to join our development team.

Our Test and Deployment Engineers work in a small team environment, interacting closely with the development team. Creative engineering, balanced with quality, schedule, and customer focus, helps ensure the successful delivery of a multitude of applications.

Successful candidates will be strong engineers who can prioritize effectively, communicate clearly (both orally and in writing), and demonstrate a consistent track record of delivery.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems.

Strong working knowledge of Continuous Integration workflows (Jenkins, BASH, Python).

Web Application automation experience using tools like Cypress, Selenium, Puppeteer, or WebdriverIO.

Experience creating and executing automated test plans, scripts, and integrating them into a Continuous Integration system.

Utilization of defect tracking system to document and track issues.

Strong communication skills; ability to work in a small team environment directly with the development team and integrate existing manual testing into automated systems where practical.

Desired skills and qualifications include:

Knowledgeable or familiar with the Agile Software Development Lifecycle.

Demonstrable ability to create use cases and user stories in work product management tools (e.g., JIRA, GitLab).

Software engineering background with a focus on automation of testing and deployment.

Ability to organize, track, and test requirements using a Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM).

Cloud Infrastructure experience using APIs to interact with AWS, Azure, Digital Ocean, Google Cloud, etc.

Virtualization software (VMWare/VirtualBox/libvirt).
