Assistant Controller

Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This role offers an opportunity to develop expertise in the corrugated industry while working closely with Area and Plant Controllers to enhance operational profitability. The position is designed to prepare you for future growth into a Controller role within our organization. This role will fast track to a plant controller in the next 2-3 years.

Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end closing procedures, analyze financial data, and prepare performance reports.

• Gain a thorough understanding of internal controls and reporting systems within the organization.

• Conduct financial analysis of products, customers, and business models using specialized software tools.

• Evaluate current business processes and collaborate with stakeholders to implement improvements that enhance efficiency and profitability.

• Learn and assist with accounts payable, invoicing, credit and collections, fixed assets, payroll, general ledger, and month-end close activities.

• Provide timely financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making and revenue growth.

• Work closely with the management team to address specific financial requests and strategic goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a focus on accounting.

• 1plus years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.

• Ability to travel 25-40% of the time as required.

• Willingness to relocate in the future for career advancement opportunities.

• Authorization to work in the United States.

• Experience in manufacturing or familiarity with Oracle Financial Cloud is highly desirable.

• Strong proficiency in month-end close procedures and standard cost accounting
