We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Database Administrator to join our team in Irvine, California. In this role, you will oversee the security, maintenance, and optimization of database systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This position requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise to manage database operations effectively and support organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
• Manage user accounts and permissions across multiple systems, ensuring security and logical access configurations.
• Implement and oversee backup and recovery processes for databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and ElasticSearch to maintain data integrity and availability.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with data security policies and regulations during user data handling and export operations.
• Perform routine system maintenance, including deployments, upgrades, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless database functionality.
• Optimize database performance through regular monitoring and configuration adjustments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address database-related issues and ensure smooth integration with other systems.
• Develop and implement strategies for database scalability and performance enhancement.
• Maintain documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and auditing purposes.
• Conduct regular reviews of account settings to prevent unauthorized access and mitigate security risks.
• Ensure high availability of database systems to support business continuity.• Minimum of 3 years of experience in database administration within a software production environment.
• Proficiency in managing cloud-based databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Hands-on experience with backup technologies and data recovery processes.
• Strong knowledge of database security, including account and permission management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure, including database deployment and configuration.
• Skilled in Python for scripting and automation purposes.
• Experience with tools and technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, AWS Lambda, and configuration management systems.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to troubleshoot complex database issues effectively.
