GENERAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Harsco Rail is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system (LN) and contribute to critical IT initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in our LN documentation project and assist with various aspects of project management.

QUALIFICATIONS
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
Familiarity with ERP systems (especially Infor LN) is a plus, but not required.
Additional Information
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Will include the following, but other duties may be assigned:
Assist in the comprehensive documentation of our LN system, including processes, configurations, and user guides.
Contribute to small projects related to LN upgrades, including testing, data validation, and user support.
Design and deliver documentation for LN Upgrade end users.
Provide administrative support to the Project Manager, which may include scheduling, note-taking, organizing project documentation, and tracking deliverables.
Collaborate with IT team members and various departments to gather necessary information for documentation and project tasks.
Learn and apply best practices in IT documentation and project management.
Work with Organizational Change Manager to define and mitigate issues prior to LN project upgrade goes live.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Technical Aptitude:Understanding basic IT concepts and systems. Familiarity with ERP systems (specifically Infor LN) is a significant plus but not required a strong willingness to learn is key.
Documentation Skills:Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation. Experience with process mapping or flowcharts is a bonus.
Organizational Skills:Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
Communication Skills:Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving:An analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
Software Proficiency:Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Teamwork & Collaboration:Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Adaptability:Eagerness to learn new technologies, processes, and tools in a fast-paced environment.
