CNC Machinist (Lathe)

Machinist (Okuma Lathe Operator)First shift great hours 6am- 2:30pm

We are seeking a skilled Machinist with experience operating Okuma lathes. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in setting up and programming CNC lathes using IGF (Interactive Graphics Function) programming. The position requires expertise in both horizontal and vertical lathe operations.Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate Okuma CNC lathes (both horizontal and vertical).

Perform IGF programming for efficient and accurate part production.

Ensure the proper selection of tools, fixtures, and offsets for each job.

Monitor machine operations to maintain high-quality output and adherence to tolerances.

Perform regular quality checks and inspections during and after production.

Troubleshoot issues and make necessary adjustments to programs and setups.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Collaborate with team members to ensure production goals are met.Qualifications:

Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with expertise in Okuma lathes.

Proficiency in IGF programming.

Experience with both horizontal and vertical lathe operations.

Strong understanding of tooling, machine setups, and offsets.

Attention to detail and ability to work with close tolerances.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
