AML - CFT Analyst

Job Description

Bank Five Nine is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our Compliance team as an AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering/Countering the Financing of Terrorism) Analyst. This role is critical in ensuring the Bank remains in full compliance with AML/CFT regulations and plays a key role in protecting the institution and its customers.What You’ll Do

Administer and maintain the Bank’s AML/CFT compliance program, ensuring alignment with the USA Patriot Act, OFAC, and related regulations.

Monitor customer activity for suspicious behavior and prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) as needed.

Manage high-risk customer accounts, performing Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews.

Review and respond to FinCEN 314(a) and 314(b) requests.

Oversee large currency transaction reporting (CTRs), ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Assist with annual AML/CFT and OFAC risk assessments.

Maintain AML/CFT policies and procedures and recommend updates as necessary.

Administer and support Verafin AML/CFT/Fraud software and respond to transactional alerts.

Collaborate with departments across the Bank to gather information and resolve issues.What You Bring

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

At least five (5) years of experience in compliance or audit roles.

Preferred:

Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS) certification or willingness to obtain within two years of hire.

Prior experience with Verafin or similar AML software.

Experience in a banking or financial services environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
