About the Opportunity

We’re working with an early-stage startup on a mission to reimagine how analytical workloads are processed across large-scale systems. This is a unique opportunity to join as the first engineering hire and play a key role in architecting and building the core platform from scratch. You’ll be solving complex data infrastructure challenges and working alongside experienced technical founders.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement foundational systems for processing and routing analytical workloads

Build internal tools and infrastructure for benchmarking and performance evaluation

Lead decisions on architecture, data integrity, and system scalability

Contribute to shaping engineering practices, culture, and future team growth

Operate across the stack where needed, with a focus on backend and systems work

What We're Looking For

6+ years of backend or infrastructure engineering experience

Deep understanding of systems architecture and performance considerations

Proven experience building scalable and reliable infrastructure or data platforms

Familiarity with cloud environments and large-scale data processing

A proactive mindset and comfort working in high-autonomy environments

Nice to Have (Not Required)

Exposure to distributed computing, query systems, or compiler theory

Experience working as a founding engineer or in early-stage startups

Interest in optimizing performance across modular compute environments
