About the Project

We are in the early stages of a large-scale, 1200-acre hillside development project in Agua Dulce, CA. This site requires expert-level oversight of grading and earthwork operations to prepare the land for future construction.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Foreman with deep expertise in grading, excavation, and earthmoving to lead day-to-day field operations. The Foreman will supervise and coordinate a team of heavy equipment operators, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality on all grading and earthwork activities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily operations and manage a crew of heavy equipment operators

Oversee grading, cut and fill, slope work, and soil stabilization

Coordinate equipment usage and ensure machinery is used efficiently and safely

Review and interpret site plans, grading maps, and specifications

Ensure work is progressing according to schedule, within scope and budget

Communicate daily with the project manager and subcontractors

Perform inspections to maintain quality and safety standards

Report on progress, challenges, and any required changes in scope

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in grading and earthwork, with at least 3 years in a foreman or supervisory role

Proven experience managing teams on large-scale, hillside, or sloped terrain projects

Strong understanding of GPS grading systems, soil types, compaction, and erosion control

Ability to read and interpret construction documents, grading plans, and cut/fill calculations

Knowledge of OSHA regulations and job site safety practices

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Work Conditions

Early morning start times, with potential for overtime and weekend hours
