Job Description
E Ink’s IT Technical Support Analyst role is ideal for an IT professional with a strong focus on desktop support and conference room support, who is eager to expand their skills in networking and server hardware support. The IT Technical Support Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure for our California office and providing exceptional technical support to our end users.
Preferred Skills:
Desktop Support
Provide timely and effective technical support for desktop systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals
Assist with the setup and deployment of new computers and workstations
Ensure all desktop systems are up to date with the latest security patches and software updates
Develop a solid understanding of all applications, equipment and software being used
Maintain inventory database, assign hardware and software assets, and manage warranty and service agreement information
Assist in the creation of detailed instructions and defined procedures for the IT Helpdesk
Conference Room Support
Set up and maintain conference room equipment, including projectors, video conferencing systems, and audio equipment
Provide technical support for meetings and events, ensuring all equipment functions correctly
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to conference room technology
Collaborate with the facilities team to ensure conference rooms are equipped and ready for use
Networking and Server Hardware Support
Assist with basic network troubleshooting and support, including connectivity issues and network performance, server hardware and backup monitoring
Provide onsite support for network and server hardware including troubleshooting and replacement
General IT Support
Respond to and resolve IT support tickets in a timely manner
Review and analyze business requirements and problems and provide recommendations for improvements to existing procedures and systems
Document and track support requests using the helpdesk ticketing system
Provide training and support to end-users on various IT systems and applications
Participate in IT projects and initiatives as needed
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of desktop systems, networking, and server hardware
Experience in assembling/disassembling computer hardware and components
Knowledge of network printer installation, setup and troubleshooting
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Windows and macOS operating systems.
Familiarity with video conferencing platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Webex).
Basic knowledge of networking concepts and hardware.
Understanding of server hardware and virtualization technologies
Additional Information:
The primary support location will be the Fremont office although this role will assist in the support of all E Ink US sites
Benefits:
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000 for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
