Minimum 1+ years intrepreter experience required.

Dynamic opportunity for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter in a K-12 educational setting, located in Lincoln, NE. This contract position is available for the upcoming school year, with a start date of August 12, 2025. The role offers flexibility in scheduling, accommodating either full or part-time availability.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter

EIPA No less than 4.0

Experience interpreting in K-12 education settings

Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively with educators and staff

Cultural competence and commitment to inclusivity

Location:Lincoln, NE

Responsibilities:

Provide interpretation services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Collaborate with teachers and support staff to facilitate effective communication in the classroom.

Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development as required.

Adapt interpreting techniques to meet the varying needs of students.

Maintain accurate records of services provided and student progress.
