Job Summary
Electronic Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and testing electronic control modules.
Primary Duties
Learn & follow detailed work instructions
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities listed below
Check tag and test unit for failure
Find and review schematic and board prints
Troubleshoot board
Repair board by using test equipment and replacing parts with soldering equipment
Retest to ensure board passes
Keep log of units repaired in CMS system
Participate in various improvement activities
Qualifications
Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with coworkers
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Schematic reading and layout drawing reading
Demonstrate proper use of DVM, oscilloscope, tracker and other diagnostic tools
Ability to identify different types of electronic components
Commitment to meeting production demands and quality requirements
Understand Customer requirements as they relate to their job function
Ability to identify and address and/or communicate any potential non-conformances
Ability to get to work on time with minimal absences
Education / Experience
Associates Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or similar discipline and/or equivalent military experience
Soldering experience
