DevOps Engineer
Praxis Engineering has an immediate need for a DevOps Engineer to support Unified Engagement Environment. Efforts will focus on DevOps engineering of an expanding collaboration workflow platform that combines COTS, open-source, and custom microservices. What you will be doing:
Responsibilities will include deploying applications; installing and configuring complex software; managing servers, networks, and technology tools; monitoring and maintaining the system for required levels of security and performance; and troubleshooting issues and outages.
Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly one week out of every 6-8 weeks). Staff may charge 4 additional hours for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked.
What you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical degree from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree;
A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in DevOps engineering
Technical skills include experience with:
Linux
AWS, MASH, and VMs
Relational Databases (Amazon RDS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL)
Networking, Firewalls, and Load Balancers
Terraform scripting and VM provisioning
Deployments of distributed web applications
Docker, Docker Compose container technology
Docker Swarm
Public Key Infrastructure
Desired technical skills include experience with:
eVo, CoDE, and UWE environments
API Gateways
Elasticsearch / Logstash / Kibana (ELK) maintenance and configuration
Python scripting and development
Java / Spring Boot troubleshooting (error logs)
Kafka Message Broker
Hazelcast Memory Cache
Kubernetes
Zookeeper
Nginx Web Server
Ansible scripting
Monitoring and Alerting
Agile software development practices
Jira and Confluence
Clearance:
Active TS/SCI with an appropriate polygraph is required to be considered for this role.
Salary range:
$101,996.00 - $219,197.00 (Annually)*
