ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY
As leaders in the building of cellular telecommunications infrastructures, One Way Wireless Construction, Inc. is viewed as a one-stop contractor where our expertise in installing, testing and maintaining makes us the reliable and highly tenured team where we are chosen again and again by our cellular and other industry-related customers. This position proactively manages and maintains quality working relationships with 2-5 crews and multiple customers/vendors. This could include 8-22 individuals at a given time. This hands-on leadership position coordinates crew schedules, time cards, material, and is responsible for most operations related to in-field construction.
Essential Responsibilities
Communicate regularly with estimators, project support, and crews to develop insight, identify opportunities, and understand project performance. Provide crew direction and timeline on overall site task requirements.
Update the actual project timeline when deviations occur
Provide a high level of customer service during customer interface
Evaluate change order opportunities and process requests
Order and review project material
Work with Project support to verify site-related and closeout documentation as required
Obtain crew progress updates daily, and pass along updates to Customers as required
Attend daily morning call and weekly scheduling meeting
Overnight travel required 30% of the time.
Be available by phone 24/7 for crew support, issues, technical assistance, etc.
Approve Time off requests and time cards daily
Fill in for other PMs when needed (vacation, absence, etc.)
Work with a crew to verify site material and equipment for the project prior to construction start.
Assist with crew scheduling and dispatching of crews
Coordinate crew training and equipment/safety plan requests with OWWC Safety
Assist and participate in crew member performance reviews
Assist with pre-construction site walks when required
Document and maintain project performance data in FieldCLIX
Document and maintain crew performance data in Paylocity
Review upcoming site-related drawings and documentation-proactively Identify and resolve issues
Ensure site safety-related rules are strictly followed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities to perform duties effectively
Advance knowledge of site testing equipment (PIM, OTDR, 3Z, Anritsu, etc.)
Advanced knowledge of telecommunication construction methods.
Ability to answer technical questions related to project construction
Ability to operate company vehicles per OWWC insurance policy
Frequent travel is required for this position
Ability to stay organized while managing multiple projects simultaneously
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Accountable for all work responsibilities, including regular attendance and meeting deadlines
Proficiency with Office 365/general computer use
Patience and persistence demeanor
Required Education and Experience
Several years of in-field construction experience (Telecommunications related)
Some management/supervisory experience required
Posses/acquire and maintain all industry-related certifications (OSHA 30, First Aid, Climber/Rescuer, MEWP, etc.)
