Full-Stack Magento Developer (Custom Extensions Specialist)

Job Description

To help us scale and better serve our growing customer base, we’re looking for a Full-Stack Magento Developer with deep experience in custom extension development and Magento architecture. This person will help shape e-commerce solutions that directly support manufacturing, compliance and safety. Projects will go beyond typical shopping carts- this person will solve real business challenges with room to innovate. This position is located in Garfield, NJ.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Magento 2 extensions and full-stack features that enable unique features for our complex product catalog and business rules.

Build both backend logic and frontend components for seamless customer experiences.

Collaborate with other developers, designers, product team, operations and IT to deliver seamless eCommerce experiences and high-quality features.

Optimize site performance and troubleshoot issues related to speed, security, and functionality.

Ensure all Magento solutions adhere to best practices, scalability, and performance standards.

Integrate Magento with third-party APIs, ERP, CRM, inventory design preview tools, shipping services, and payment gateways.

Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and continuous integration/deployment processes.

Assist with product configurators, compliance workflows, and dynamic pricing tools.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of professional experience with Magento 2 development experience (both frontend and backend), with a portfolio of custom extensions.

Strong PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and Magento module development skills.

Proficient in JavaScript, Knockout.js, RequireJS

Demonstrable experience building custom Magento extensions

Comfortable working across both frontend and backend.

Experience with Magento APIs and third-party integrations, and system integrations.

Version control using Git, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Magento 2 Certification(s).

Experience with cloud-based Magento environments (e.g., Adobe Commerce Cloud, AWS, OpenSource).

Experience with complex product configuration, B2B e0commerce, or manufacturing systems.

Familiarity with DevOps tools and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Familiarity with React

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
