APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Port Huron, MI looking to add a CNC Programmer/Machinist to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce high-precision mold components. Keep reading for more details!

What your day will look like:
Demonstrate expertise in manufacturing mold components, including cavities, cores, slides, lifters, and electrodes.
Set up and operate CNC machines with precision and efficiency.
Coordinate CNC machine schedules in collaboration with the Tool Shop Foreman and Supervisor to ensure workflow optimization.
Extensive experience in CNC programming and machining across a range of materials, including hardened and soft steels, copper, and graphite (especially for electrode fabrication).
Perform CNC machining using both Manual Data Input (MDI) and CAM-generated programs.
Actively support and adhere to GGI’s Quality Management System and continuous improvement initiatives.
What we are looking for:
High school diploma or equivalent
4+ years of CAM programming on injection mold cavities/electrodes
Hands-on experience with at least one of the following machines: lathe, milling machine, drill press, or vertical/horizontal cut-off saw.
Competence in using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and performing advanced arithmetic.
Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
