Description:
The Special Events Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of memorable, high-quality events and activations designed to enhance MetroNational & Memorial City’s presence, tenant engagement, and overall brand experience.
This role will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, community partners, and external vendors to execute a year-long calendar of signature events, including festivals, VIP gatherings, community initiatives, and seasonal programming at MetroNational properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage elevated and engaging events designed to drive foot traffic, increase tenant satisfaction, and enhance the visitor experience across the Memorial City Campus & MetroNational portfolio.
Coordinate logistics for the full event lifecycle with a focus on aligning event messaging with MetroNational’s brand while coordinating with the marketing team for signage, communication, and campus-wide promotion.
Manage event budgets effectively, ensuring financial goals are met and costs are optimized.
Partner closely with internal Marketing Department to align event strategy with overall Customer experience goals, brand standards, and campus-wide marketing efforts.
Develop retail and hospitality programming through shared space activations, events and campaigns to boost engagement and increase awareness for on-campus retail tenants.
Collaborate closely with the VP of Experience, Marketing Team, Property Management teams, PR firm partners, and external vendors to ensure cohesive experiences across all touchpoints.
Measure event success through attendance tracking, stakeholder feedback, impact, and return on investment analysis.
Create post-event reports and recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.
Ensure consistent brand messaging and elevated standards are maintained throughout all event materials, activations, and communications.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
8-10 years of experience in special event planning, marketing management, and execution, preferably in commercial real estate, retail, hospitality, or community-focused environments.
Demonstrated success in planning and executing diverse event types, including VIP experiences, community-driven events, and large-scale activations.
Exceptional organizational and project management skills with a strong ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and community stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing clarity, professionalism, and effectiveness.
Budget management expertise, including tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and effectively manage event teams.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as event schedules dictate.
