Kiewit Luminarium is a next-generation science center that joyfully engages people of all ages and identities to explore astonishing phenomena and learn with their hands. Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, the Graphic Designer designs marketing materials across print, digital, and other applications, ensuring consistent brand presence. This includes development of print ads, brochures, quarterly newsletters, annual reports, and other graphic elements for use in a variety of media. The Graphic Designer is an integral part of Kiewit Luminariums Marketing team.
Essential Functions
Designs and develops marketing materials including logos, brochures, newsletters, direct mail, ads, annual reports, and graphic elements for electronic media such as e-mail outreach, websites, and social media
Maintains detailed tracking of project requirements and timelines
Obtains production estimates from outside vendors such as printers, photographers, and illustrators
Maintains the museums photography archive including keyword cataloging of all images
Manages museum internal digital signage and displays
Helps maintain the museums social media channels
Supports the museums marketing efforts by staffing external marketing events

Education & Experience Required
Bachelors degree required Graphic Design, Marketing, or related
Minimum three years of professional graphic design experience
Diverse portfolio demonstrating a variety of design styles and a solid grasp of typography, space, and color
Strong layout and production skills
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and Google Workspace Apps
HTML and/or website design and maintenance skills are a plus
Photography skills are a plus
