Job Title: Software Architect
Location: Albany, NY (Hybrid – 50% Onsite)
Hourly Rate: Depending on experience
Duration: 30 months

This is a hybrid role based in Albany, NY with 50% onsite requirement. Candidates must be within a commutable distance and available to interview via webcam, with the camera on. This is part of the New York HBITS initiative. Candidate who meets the requirements will be contacted and asked to provide necessary supporting documentation.
What You’ll Do
Design, implement, and maintain scalable automation frameworks aligned with CI/CD pipelines.
Provide mentorship and leadership to development and testing teams to ensure technical excellence and growth.
Lead strategic architectural decisions, selecting patterns and standards for robust automation and SOA systems.
Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies to improve software architecture, testing, and deployment efficiency.
Define long-term test automation strategies and align technical roadmaps with NYS Department of Labor goals.
Collaborate with Business and ITS staff to align software quality initiatives with stakeholder objectives.
Write and execute SQL queries for analysis and troubleshooting in coordination with analysts and architects.
Perform test execution and manage defects through tools such as ALM, MasterCraft, and JIRA.
Develop and maintain automation frameworks using JavaScript, Java, VB Script, C++, and Selenium.
Manage version control workflows, security, and CI/CD practices using GitHub.
