Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Connexa Search Group is working with an established firm seeking an Electrical Engineer in Lynchburg, VA to support a variety of design projects across multiple sectors. This role involves creating electrical layouts for power and lighting systems, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams, and contributing to the overall success of technical design initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the design of electrical power and lighting systems for various facility types

Perform calculations, system analysis, and layout development

Support CAD and BIM modeling efforts

Ensure compliance with applicable codes and project specifications

Coordinate with internal teams across engineering and architectural disciplines

Participate in occasional site visits and field evaluations

Contribute to technical documentation and project deliverables

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Experience in electrical design or related engineering work

Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools preferred)

Understanding of electrical codes and industry standards

Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
