The Technology & Commercialization Strategy (TACS) team at FedTech operates at the intersection of emerging technology, innovation strategy, and applied commercialization. We work closely with federal laboratories, universities, startups, and investors to unlock the value of deep tech and deliver impact across government and commercial sectors. Our work spans identifying high-potential technologies and companies for FedTech’s venture creation and accelerator programs, advising on technology transfer operations, delivering customized support to small businesses developing advanced technologies, and engaging with VCs to support our alumni companies as they pursue funding to scale their technologies.
What you’ll do:
As a Program Coordinator on the TACS team, you will play a key role in supporting multiple innovation and commercialization accelerator programs, primarily within the DoD ecosystem. You’ll work closely with program leads to manage day-to-day operations, coordinate with external advisors and vendors, handle reporting and invoicing, and help ensure smooth execution of project activities. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of emerging technology and national security, supporting startups as they scale in defense and commercial markets. In this role, you’ll gain a front-row view into how consulting engagements are structured and delivered. By supporting program operations and learning from experienced project managers, you’ll build the skills needed to eventually lead client-facing workstreams, manage budgets, and take ownership of high-impact programs.
Key Responsibilities
Support the team with coordination and execution of innovation and commercialization accelerator programs, including proposal responses, advisor onboarding, and status reporting.
Track projects progress and maintain documentation to ensure key milestones and deliverables are met by each.
Coordinate and manage multiple subject matter experts and vendors across various projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government clients, advisors, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders, to foster collaboration and program success.
Assist in managing program budgets, tracking invoices, and processing payments in collaboration with the finance team.
Draft monthly status reports, project updates, and internal summaries for client review.
Help prepare presentation materials, reports, and internal tools that support project execution and team operations.
Contribute to the continual improvement of program processes and operations.
Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
Completion of a bachelor's degree is required.
0-2 years of professional experience; internships, co-ops, or project experience in consulting, startups, government, or research are a plus.
Interest in technology commercialization, startups, and national security.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to juggle multiple workstreams and deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to write clearly and professionally in client-facing documents.
Comfortable using spreadsheets, slide decks, and shared team tools (Google Workspace, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Ability to thrive under tight deadlines, bringing a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the initiative to confidently drive projects forward.

Compensation:
Base salary range: $65-80k based on education and experience
The salary range listed for this position is based on market data and internal compensation structure. The final compensation package will be determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and education. This range is not a guarantee of compensation and offers may fall outside this range in exceptional cases.
In addition to the base salary, compensation includes performance-based bonus (OTE) and ability to earn equity

Travel:
Ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 5% of the time.
