JOIN OUR TEAM AS A INTERIM DIRECTOR OF INTAKE!

Your Work Matters How will you make a difference?

The Interim Director of Intake coordinates assessments of incoming patients with A&R Counselors, coordinates Doctor’s assessments, and initiates the Admission process with the Admissions Clerk. The Intake Coordinator provides technical assistance to the discharge planning process under the direction of the Director of Intake. The Director of Intake works closely with Clinical, UM, Hospital Leadership, and the community.

Inquiry calls are documented and processed in accordance with Intake policies.

Patients are assessed and stabilized prior to leaving hospital or admission to hospital arranged.

Administrative approval is obtained for all admissions.

Ensures admission paperwork is completed in accordance with hospital policy.

Pre-certification is obtained in accordance with insurance requirements.

Medication is obtained after hours as ordered by the physician with proper documentation of drugs removed and accountability maintained.

Requests for assessments are coordinated in a timely manner.

In-house assessments are completed, and treatment or referral disposition recommendations are made and documented.

Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:

Education & Licensure (if applicable): Psychiatric Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Master’s Degree in a human field. Licensed eligible in the State of Massachusetts.

Experience: Two or more years experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting with supervisory experience. At least two (2) years experience in a psychiatric hospital setting, including customer contact.

Additional Skill Requirements: A working knowledge of the DSM-5 and the Mental Status Exam. A working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field.

Compensation:

This is a temporary role and the expected compensation range is $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 annually. We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level. Join us as our Interim Director of Intake!
