Our team is seeking a Back of House Supervisor who will be the go-to person running event operations from behind the scenes at our exclusive venues and offsite events. This person is knowledgeable about food production and display and is confident working with seasoned culinary and service professionals. They will manage multiple areas at once and are a master at juggling the details while keeping their eye on the big picture.
The best candidate for this position loves to keep people on track and can pivot when the train starts running behind. They will make the tough judgement calls and communicate with the confidence that it should have been their way all along. This person is relentlessly positive with a sense of urgency and remains calm and in control when things get hot.
This is a part time variable position with evening and weekend requirements

Responsibilities - The Primary job of the Back of House Supervisor includes but is not limited to:
Reading event paperwork and mentally preparing in advance of events
Manage and hold BOH team accountable to event timeline, manage changes to timeline as they arise, communicate, and collaborate on timeline as required
Collaborate with the FOH, event managers, and chef as cohesive well-oiled machine
Ensure food is prepared and ready to serve at the right time, temperature, and quality by communicating and assisting the culinary team
Hold pre-shift meetings for the teams and conduct training for temporary employees as needed
Maintain a clean and organized back of house throughout the event and ensure all closing checklists are completed at the end of the event
Manage dish and breakdown teams
Assist FOH and BOH as needed and how needed during timeline to ensure smooth, timely, well run special events
Expedite the dinner service as needed
Requirements
Valid driver’s license
Back of House culinary management experience
Developed Expo skills
Catering or banquet service experience
Pass background check
Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel; reach with hand and arms, and stoop, kneel or crouch for 8+ hours at a time
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Reliable means of transportation
(2) Saturday per month mandatory availability
Required to fill other positions as needed
Eligible to work in U.S.
Preferred
2 years as a kitchen manager or kitchen supervisor
Flexible schedule and weekend/evening availability
Experience driving large trucks or vans
Supervisory experience
ServSafe certification
