Position Criteria:
-We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Trimmer with a minimum of three years of post-trade experience. In this role, you will:
-Repair, replace, and install vehicle interior components, including seats, upholstery, carpets, and headliners.
-Craft and fit custom interior designs tailored to client specifications and vehicle requirements.
-Utilize a range of tools and equipment to cut, sew, and secure materials such as leather, vinyl, and fabric.
-Perform accurate measurements and fittings to ensure a high-quality finish.
-Diagnose and resolve wear-and-tear issues or damage to interior components.
-Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on materials and designs.
-Follow industry standards and manufacturer guidelines to maintain exceptional quality and safety.
-Maintain precise records of work completed and materials used.
-Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in vehicle interior design and materials.
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to all safety protocols.
-Support and mentor apprentices or junior staff as required.
Requirements:
-Relevant trade qualifications: Certificate III in Automotive Trimming Technology or equivalent.
-Strong skills in using sewing machines, hand tools, and other specialized equipment.
-Attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics and quality.
-Excellent organizational and time management skills.
-A proactive and customer-focused attitude.
-Prior experience in custom vehicle interior projects is desirable but not essential.
