The Fabricator utilizes milling and drilling machines to fabricate parts and assemble dies and molds utilized in the manufacturing of advanced refractories. Fabricator may be involved in the creation of new structures or repairing existing ones.

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly
Working knowledge of safety protocols
Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred
Skills and Abilities
Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in math
Basic computer skills
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
Ability to interpret and understand technical documents/blueprints
Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
Valid state issued drivers' license and reliable transportation
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operates and maintains milling machines, lathe, drill press, saws and grinders
Cut Parts as needed and prepared for weld
MiG and Tig welding - Required Skill
Preform welding tasks not only within your designated department but also in other departments as needed.
Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production
Checks all drawing and sketch information for the ability to fabricate various materials and designs with a high degree of accuracy
Fabricates parts for maintenance as needed
Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping
Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task
Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment
Checks output for quality assurance
Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs
Maintains a safe and clean workstation
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
