Job Title: Mold Set Up Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mold Set Up Operator; the role involves changing over, installing, and setting up thermal injection molds according to the production schedule. The operator will position, bolt, and clamp molds into the press bed, connect lines, and adjust heat and pressure settings to ensure efficient production.
Responsibilities
Change over, install, and set up thermal injection molds according to production schedule.
Position, bolt, and clamp molds into press bed.
Connect lines, adjust and regulate heat and pressure settings.
Monitor initial production of molding machine and verify parts meet specifications before handing over to operator.
Provide assistance to molding operators as needed.
Monitor operations of assigned molding equipment.
Check quality and availability of raw materials.
Verify quality products coming out of molds and check parts for compliance with specifications.
Make machine adjustments or basic repairs where necessary.
Clean molds removed from production and blow out lines.
Examine molds for damage or wear.
Apply protective coating, label, and store molds.
Maintain records relating to production and mold change-over.
Operate molding machines as time allows.Essential Skills
Experience with molding and injection processes.
Knowledge of progressive die techniques.
Proficiency in blueprint reading.
Machinist skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with thermal injection molds.
Ability to perform basic machine repairs.Work Environment
This position is located in a manufacturing facility that is climate-controlled, ensuring a comfortable work environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
