Position Summary
The School of Nursing seeks a simulation operations specialist to support the logistical operations of its EISLE lab. EISLE (Education-Innovation-Simulation Learning Environment) in the School of Nursing supports simulation methodologies throughout nursing education and professional practice and provides consultative and supportive services for curriculum development, innovative instructional strategies, assessment methods, and faculty development in simulations for the School of Nursing faculty and staff. The simulation operations specialist supports our programs’ educational and experiential learning experiences and maintains logistical operations of the simulation lab, which is used to educate nursing students in coordination with the simulation program coordinator, the Director (future Assistant Dean for Simulation and Experiential Learning), and the Assistant Director of EISLE . Reporting to the Director of EISLE (future Assistant Dean for Simulation and Experiential Learning), the simulation operations specialist assists in educational activities by offering pre- and post-simulation and training support, coordinating technical and administrative tasks, maintaining documentation and resources, conducting simulation sessions, and collaborating with faculty and staff on skills and scenario development. This position supports the daily operations of EISLE, facilitating high-quality experiential learning activities for our learners. The simulation operations specialist coordinates EISLE resources through preparing, implementing, and breaking down simulation and lab experiences. This position is a 12-month in-person position with occasional evening or weekend shifts and requires flexibility to adjust work hours to accommodate simulation schedules or program events when earlier start and end times on select days are required across the semester. The person in this position will be working with simulators from Laerdal, CAE, Gaumard, and virtual reality such as Oxford Medical.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and educate healthcare professionals Ability to work effectively independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of healthcare-related clinical care Strong technical, computer, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills Simulation experience with simulation manikins and standardized participants Strong knowledge and understanding of simulation technology and techniques
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience
Allied health, simulation, or relevant experience. Experience in healthcare operations or simulation technology EMT, CNA, or other similar allied-health-related certification Licensure or Certification in a health-related field Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist ( CHSOS )
