Job Title: Principal Enterprise Architect – Full Stack DevSecOps
Location: Hybrid – Columbus, OH (Onsite Tuesday and Wednesday; Remote Monday, Thursday, and Friday)
Duration: 6/12/2025 - 12/31/2025 (Possibility of Extension)
Rate: $75 – $85/hour (Based on experience)
Contract Type: W-2 only (U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders only; no C2C or sponsorship)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Enterprise Architect with deep expertise in full stack DevSecOps to support enterprise-wide architecture initiatives at a utilities client. This role requires a strong technical foundation in application architecture, DevSecOps tooling, and cloud-native development, combined with leadership capabilities to influence across business and technology functions.
The selected candidate will report directly to the Head of Architecture and will collaborate with teams across Application Development, Infrastructure, Security, Data & Analytics, and PMO to define and implement modern architecture strategies. A structured skills assessment will be required as part of the evaluation process.
Key Responsibilities
Provide senior-level guidance and architectural leadership across the enterprise, with a focus on DevSecOps, API development, and full-stack application modernization
Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, reference models, and transformation roadmaps that align with business strategy and IT capability goals
Serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders, facilitating decision-making on architectural direction, trade-offs, and solution design
Lead architecture review boards, promote standards adoption, and oversee solution design processes
Drive innovation by staying informed on emerging technologies, frameworks, and development patterns
Collaborate with platform and security teams to ensure architectures are secure by design and support scalable CI/CD delivery
Actively mentor junior architects and provide cross-functional leadership in enterprise programs
Support the automation of key business capabilities, including intelligent automation, integration, and cloud enablement
Engage with vendor partners and contribute to enterprise tooling strategies (e.g., Copado, GitHub, Jenkins, Sonar, Kubernetes
Required Qualifications
10+ years of enterprise architecture experience, with a focus on DevSecOps and full stack development environments
Strong background in both on-premise and cloud-based architectures (Azure and/or AWS)
Experience working with large ERP environments, with prior architecture leadership in utility, energy, or complex regulated industries
Demonstrated success leading architectural engagements that span application, infrastructure, security, and data domains
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with DevSecOps tools and practices, including:
SonarQube, SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow
Concourse, Copado, Copilot, Docker, Gearset, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Postman
Understanding of architecture capability areas such as:
AI/ML, API Gateway & Management, Intelligent Automation, GenAI, Integration, Runtime Environments, and Security
Skills and Competencies
Deep understanding of API-first architecture, containerization, microservices, and modern CI/CD toolchains
Familiarity with LeanIX, TOGAF, ITIL, and other enterprise architecture frameworks
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills

Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (required)
