Channel Sales Manager – Critical Power / Generators

We are seeking a Channel Sales Manager to lead sales efforts by driving revenue growth and managing sales activities through a network of Rep Firms across the US. This individual will manage and expand a network of manufacturer's representatives, focusing on selling critical power generator solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience managing channel sales or indirect sales networks, deep knowledge of critical power systems, and a strong ability to support business development in mission-critical environments. The Channel Sales Manager will support the channel's success with overseeing the sales process to deal closure while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive channel sales strategies aligned with company goals and target markets
Own the strategy and execution of the manufacturer's representative network across the US
Identify and recruit high-potential channel partners and resellers
Build strong relationships with rep firm leadership and support reps in closing deals
Drive revenue growth by enabling reps to cross-sell and upsell within key market segments
Lead and mentor the rep network, providing product training and technical support
Coordinate with internal teams on product positioning, proposals, and quotes
Participate in sales meetings, RFP responses, and client presentations as needed
Support reps throughout the entire sales cycle—from lead generation to after-sales support
Attend and represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events
Track channel KPIs, provide regular reports on performance, and optimize strategies accordingly
Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, marketing, and engineering teams
Act as the voice of the channel to internal stakeholders, providing insights into customer trends and competitive landscape
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is a plus
5+ years of experience in channel sales within the critical power or industrial electrical sectors
Proven experience managing rep networks or indirect sales channels
Background in generator OEMs, power systems, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems or electrical infrastructure is a must
Familiarity with mission-critical industries such as data centers, manufacturing, or healthcare
Existing business relationships with Data Center executives, contractors, facilities managers, GC's and consulting engineers
Active member of professional industry groups such as 7x24 Exchange, AFCOM, ASHRAE, IEEE, Uptime Institute, DCD, IMasons, or Bisnow
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Excellent communication, training, and presentation skills
Strong ability to support complex sales cycles, technical content, and customer relationships
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools such as Salesforce
Highly organized with strong time management and analytical skills
Willingness to travel up to 50% across the U.S.
U.S. based location required ( East Coast Preferred) otherwise must live near a major Airport
