ELEMENTARY MATH INTERVENTIONIST

Preferred Qualifications:

Possess Valid MI Teacher Certification - Math specialization preferred

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Credentials and experience indicating the potential for a successful career in education

Possess strong time management and record keeping skills

The ability to work in a team setting and establish good rapport with parents, peers and the community

Experience with math instruction

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide instruction to students in assigned grade level or in specific content area

Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning

Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere

Document and report student progress in the areas of academics and behavior

Communicate with parents/guardians/adult caregivers about their student’s progress

Evaluate pupils' academic growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare grade reports

Identify pupil needs, make appropriate referrals, and develop strategies for individual education plans

Other duties as assigned
