Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ability to set-up and operate CMMs
Develop and maintain CMM programs to support First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspections using PC-DMIS/Calypso software
Interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications as needed to ensure CMM programs measure and record all necessary implicit and explicit customer requirements
Complete first article inspection documentation in accordance with AS9102
Maintain AS9100 standards
Create non-conformance reports as necessary
Maintain excellent communications and working relationships with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Production
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proficient in CMM programming PC-DMIS/Calypso
Strong understanding of blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and Form, Fit, and Function principles
Understanding of AS9102 First Article Inspection process
Proficient in 3D CAD Software
Inspection Methods and Techniques, including GD&T application and interpretation
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledgeable and experienced in manufacturing processes
Works well independently and in a team environment in a fast paced, deadline driven, diverse environment
Work on site is required
Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen
Education and Experience:
Degree/Certificate from college or technical school
3-5 years’ experience preferred; or an equivalent combination or education and experience
