As an ABA Behavior Technician in our center-based environment, you'll have the opportunity to work directly with children aged 18 months to 8 years using ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques. With exceptional supervision, ongoing training, and a dedicated team, your work will have a meaningful impact every day!
As a Behavior Technician, your responsibilities will include:
Implementing one-on-one ABA therapy to assist children with Autism in reaching their potential by following treatment plans, collecting data, writing notes for insurance, and applying feedback from supervisors during observation sessions.
Fostering child development through enjoyable and engaging therapeutic activities for early childhood (18 months to 8 years).
Collaborating with a dedicated team to enhance treatment effectiveness, safety, and a fun working atmosphere.
Engaging with children through lively play, movement, and imitation, which could involve dance, singing, reading, or playing various activities.
Maintaining positive communication with stakeholders (including peers, families, and supervisors) to coordinate activities, celebrate achievements, and advocate for personal needs.
Job Requirements:
Ability to lift and move children in a fast-paced environment, including lifting up to 30 lbs, bending, squatting, and quickly moving to stay actively engaged.
Creating a conducive therapy environment by keeping play spaces organized and inviting for children.
Multitasking skills to balance various actions, decisions, and conversations while prioritizing safety.
Team support by working cohesively as a center and potentially traveling to nearby centers as needed.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
You will be required to complete the RBT certification process within 20 days of employment, including passing a 40-hour training curriculum, competency assessment, registering for an exam, and passing the board's exam.

Pay Ranges Based on Experience & Education:
Associates/High School: $15.00 - $22.50
Bachelor's: $15.00 - $24.00
Master's: $16.00 - $26.00
Your first raise is earned upon certification as RBT, typically within 21 days.
Experience in the following fields is advantageous:
Childcare roles (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor, etc.)
Mental health professionals or advocates (QMHP, behavioral health technicians)
Camp counselors, volunteers, or Sunday school teachers
Degrees in education, special education, sociology, psychology, or related fields (any degree preferred)
Experience as paraprofessionals, direct support, or life skills assistants
A passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
