We are seeking a detail-orientedDocument Specialistto support document digitization and processing efforts in Ogden, UT. This position involves working closely with high-volume scanning equipment and document management systems as part of theFederal Records Processing (FRP)initiative. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with sensitive records, possess strong organizational and quality control skills, and be able to follow detailed procedures with minimal oversight.
Understand and operate across all stages of the FRP process including:
Batching/Sorting
Document Preparation
Scanning using industrial-grade scanners
Transformer/Collector activities
Validating scanned output
Final Disposition of materials
Prepare physical paper records for scanning (removing staples, unfolding pages, organizing files, etc.).
Digitize documents using industrial-grade scanning hardware in accordance with technical specifications.
Conduct image and file manipulation on scanned output for formatting and system compatibility.
Upload scanned files to designated AI-based document management platforms.
Performfirst-level quality assurancechecks to verify accuracy and compliance with FRP standards.
Collaborate with a technical FRP Government employee forsecondary quality controland validation of determinations.
Disseminate physical paper documents post-processing based on established procedures.
Provide regular status reports and updates for assigned projects.
Track and update performance metrics for active and completed tasks.
Proofread and correct processed and unprocessed data for consistency and accuracy.
Accurately log new document requests into tracking databases and project management systems.
Required Qualifications:
Must be aU.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or relevant coursework preferred.
Experience with document handling, records processing, or scanning operations.
Familiarity with digital file formats, file transfers, and data input platforms.
Strong attention to detail and demonstrated commitment to quality control.
Ability to follow structured protocols and written instructions.
Competence in using Windows-based software and document tracking systems.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Able to lift boxes of documents and perform repetitive tasks as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a government or federal records environment.
Exposure to AI-powered document processing or digital archiving systems.
Knowledge of records disposition practices and compliance standards.
