Calibration Technician

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Metrology & Calibration Technicians.

Position Type: Full Time, Contract Duration: 12 months Location: North Charleston, SC Job Description:The Metrology and Test Equipment Services (MATES) organization is looking for Metrology & Calibration Technicians to join our Metrology team in North Charleston, South Carolina.

This role will be responsible for using calibration standards to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair Measurement Test & Equipment (MT&E)/process equipment using approved calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings, and M&TE /process equipment manufacturer's performance specifications.

In addition to Metrology responsibilities, this role may also involve activities including, but not limited to: logistics associated with routing calibrated assets to labs and suppliers for calibration services (shippers, purchase contracts, follow-up and supplier backlog management). This position may also involve aspects of Test Asset Management and Property Management including asset tagging, redeployment, storage and surplus.

Metrology And Test Equipment Services (MATES) provides a full spectrum of test asset and metrology services and support for internal customers and products through all phases of the product lifecycle.

Services include calibration/certification for dimensional/optics, electrical/electronic and mechanical/physical measurement and test assets, sourcing management, measurement solutions, repair & maintenance, test asset selection and use, acquisition, allocation, resource and lifecycle management, and specialized test services.

MATES is comprised of engineers, technicians and administrative personnel who support programs, sites, business units and external/government customers by providing best value test asset management and metrology services through all phases of the product lifecycle.

Metrology is the science of measurement.

MATES is responsible for establishing an unbroken chain of measurement traceability from the point of application to internationally recognized standards, quantities, values or reference materials.

Applied metrology at ensures that measurement standards, materials or equipment used to apply or determine measurement quantities are defined, repeatable, reproducible and traceable.
