Position Overview

Reporting to the VP Operations Finance, the Operations Financial Analyst reviews operational trends and provides actionable insights into operational efficiency opportunities. The position supports the business through data analysis of operational, warehouse and supply chain data. The position will work closely with operations and plant management, supply chain team, and accounting and operations finance team. The position will assist in spend analysis, inventory control, budgeting, master data validation, and month end closing activities.

Job Responsibilities

Performs month-end closing activities including inventory reconciliations and other activities as assigned. Requires closing the month within the stated deadline, while maintaining accurate reporting.

Spend trend reporting including comparison to budget/forecast, report results, and investigate drivers of variances.

Assist in master data validations related to product setup for standard costing.

Assist in annual budgeting process.

Provide performance analysis against metric driven performance measures.

Support operations and supply chain management with effective analysis and data consolidation to offer accurate financial data to help guide the business for growth and change initiatives.

Assist in performance measurement on cost savings initiatives.

Help to ensure proper internal controls surrounding financial reporting and safeguarding of assets are in place and followed by the organization.

Assist external auditors with the year-end financial audit data as requested.

Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable regulatory requirements while following the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices. Engage in a wide variety of cross functional projects to assist in guiding responsible financial planning and assessment throughout the organization

Maintain collaborative partnerships throughout the organization and assist with ongoing ad hoc financial initiatives

Hold all confidential information in trust and confidence and ensure it is used only for its required purpose.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

2-3 years related experience within manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.

Strong organizational abilities, detail orientation and ability to multitask.

Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office tools. Must show advanced level of proficiency in Excel. Experience working with integrated ERP systems, Ross preferred.

Good verbal, written communication & people skills. Ability to interact with a diverse group of people in a team environment.

Initiative-taker who is able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Ability and means to travel; must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of valid insurance including liability and property damage coverage.
