Job Description
Develops, implements and monitors logistics activities required for the timely and efficient transportation and distribution of finished products to and from PB Leiner USA. This position handles foreign and domestic logistics, external inventories, and distribution to achieve Delivered in Full on Time (DIFOT) objectives in a cost effective manner through strategic planning and supplier alliances.
Key Result Areas
Ensure DIFOT to internal and external customers
Evaluate cost effective transportation and shipping expenditures, both foreign and domestic
Assist with annual budgeting of transportation and warehousing costs
Coordinate logistics and distribution for PB Leiner USA, several outside warehouses, and all exports and imports
Ensure appropriate stock at outside warehouses based on customer sales forecasts
Supervise shipping documentation, both domestic and export shipments, according to ISO procedures
Supervise invoicing procedures and accuracy, both foreign and domestic
Accountable for customer complaints and corrective actions relating to logistics and distribution
Analyze DIFOT performance of carriers relating to damages and customer service, then reacts appropriately
Supervise staff of Logistics specialists, accountable for product tracking, route analysis and re-routing recommendations
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in logistics or supply chain management with 5 to 8 years experience.

Knowledge recommended
All facets of supply chain management including transportation, warehousing and distribution
Knowledge of manufacturing environment and related quality control
Knowledge of C-TPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism)
Import/Export Compliance Managers certificate a plus
Security Chain Management
Knowledge associated with government regulatory compliance issues relating to FDA and USDA
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
SAP knowledge
